New Mexico

Was fun. End of post. Goodbye... Still here? Ok... So I got up at 3 in the morning to leave Hillsboro Texas for A Scout camp just outside of Cloudcroft New Mexico. We get there a little after 4 in the afternoon. The day after that we went to White Sands and walked around, ate lunch and what not. After that we headed to the space museum (can't remember exactly what it was called) in Alamogordo.
The day after that we got up packed up and headed out the White Mountain Wilderness area. We stayed at a State Park that night were we met a old man from Austin that was an Eagle Scout and he told us all about the "gee-haw wammydoodle". Which I figured out how to do but never mastered it.... We showed us some other gadgets of trickery that he had made and we spent thge rest of the evening befuddling the new kids with riddles.
The next morning we packed our packs and headed into the wild. We made over 9 miles (we where taking it super easy for the adults and new kids....) over a period of 3 days. In this time I got to see some amazing scenery, get my exercise done for the next year, and eat some super tasty dried fruit.
Anyway, that was pretty much the gist of the trip. But here's a fun fact, my pack was around 40 lbs. as was the other more experienced scouts/adults, but the new kids packs weighed around 20 lbs.. Yup, two of them nearly passed out though...

The Process, Projected.
